Daisy Dunn—registered section A 1997 welsh mare # A-37922, 12.1/4 hands
Daisy is true Welsh Mountain pony! She is full of joy and will happily spend the entire day with the kids whether at the show or on an outing in the mountains. My daughter Leah is 12 years old and a very accomplished rider. She helped me start Daisy and showed her over fences last year.
Son Logan is 10 and really has fun with Daisy. Along with her regular schooling, Daisy has been a child's companion, she enjoys or puts up good-naturedly with being a stool for an apple from the tree, a knight's steed dressed in a sheet, a cop or robber,--when Logan “dies and falls off”, Daisy just stands there waiting for him to come to life again!
Accomplishments:
- 2003 Welsh Spring Fling-placed high in halter and over fences
- 2003 2x Mini-Event smurf champion (fences 2'3”) stadium and cross country
- Many wins in over fence classes at hunter shows
- Hunter/jumper clinics with Gary Striker from Spokane, WA
- Many wins in flat classes at hunter shows
Has been harnessed, ground driven and pulled a travois
Daisy has a wonderful work ethic, stunning form over a fence and 3 very good gaits. If asked, she will change leads while on course. She is very safe for a child. Daisy loads beautifully. She is usually the 5 th horse in the last stall of our 4 horse trailer, next to Bonzai, a larger pony. She puts up with this happily too.
Daisy Dunn is the 2004 Short Stirrup Reserve Champion for the Montana Hunter Jumper Association. Congratulations to her!
